Rules


  • Net height - 2.74m or 9ft.
  • Size 4 ball.
  • High Five Netball is a game which is played using a squad of 7-9 players, of which 5 are allowed on the court at any one time.
  • A maximum of 2 boys can be used on court, with a total of 3 boys in the squad.
  • The game should be umpired firmly to ensure that all players obey the footwork rule; obey the 1m distance rule; do not cause any contact and obey the obstruction rule. 
  • Matches are to be 4 quarters of 6 minutes each.
  • Squad member's positions should be rotated, and rotation patterns will be continuous.
  • 5 points are awarded for a win, 3 for a draw and 2 for losing to reward teams who manage to play their match.
  • First named team in the fixtures play at home.
  • WASPs Netball League celebration event will be help at  Bishop David Brown School on Thursday 23 March from 4.30pm - 6pm.

    The league winners from all of the Netball leagues will be invited to bring along their team and receive their league winning trophy.

  • ​All matches need to be finished by Monday 6th March.


A large number of schools compete in our Netball Leagues. Due to the amount of teams, we run three leagues with the teams for each league being picked at random depending on the schools who enter them at the start of the season.
